We resumed our monthly potluck breakfasts last month to a good crowd and great food (see below for a note about the history of the breakfasts). Though the COVID pandemic has taken new turns, and the state of Illinois has instituted an indoor mask mandate for all persons, regardless of vaccination status, we've decided to NOT to cancel the September breakfast, principally because nearly every one of our people is vaccinated, and we can easily comply with the new mask mandate.
We invite you to join us on Sunday, September 5, at 9:00 a.m. for the meal (9:00 a.m. is the new start time for the breakfasts since our Bible study group has graciously agreed to meet at 8:00 a.m. on the first Sundays of months). The "rule" for this potluck will be the same rule we've had in place for decades: Bring food to share if you can or want to. But if you can't or don't want to bring food, COME ANYWAY. God ALWAYS provides!
One other "rule" for this meal: Please wear a mask when you enter the building and keep it on until you are seated at a table. After you finish your meal and move away from the table, please resume wearing your mask. [NOTE: We comply with all state guidance regarding public health measures to combat the COVID pandemic. NOT out of political interest, but to contribute to the protection of public health.]
