wHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE DIE?
What happens when we die? Is there a heaven? Is there a hell? If so, how do we get to each? and when? and how?
In this challenging but rewarding study, we explore the biblical witness to these questions and many others SPOILER ALERT: It's not a simple as you might think! For example, in much of the Old Testament basically nothing happens to people when they die; they simply cease to exist, and at best take residence in a place of nothingness called "Sheol." Only later in Israel's history did the idea of an active afterlife gain traction.

Our pastor, Bill Coley, is a master small group facilitator and teacher, as well as a wicked wit (which is some kind of combination!) Currently, the group is exploring the words "saved," "savior," and "salvation" as presented in the New Testament, having just completed a similar review of the Old Testament. What does it mean to be "saved"? What are we "saved" from? You might be surprised by the answers. Join us!
