SUNDAYS AT NEW BEGINNINGS
-
Sunday groups - 9:00 a.m.
We currently offer one of the best Bible studies you will find in any church, anywhere.
That's a bold claim, we know, but we think it's an accurate description of our 9:00 a.m. Sunday group whose current focus is called "All Things Afterlife," basically an in-depth review of everything the Bible tells us about what happens after we die. Who goes where . . . and why? You can find out more about the group's study by clicking HERE.
If you want a challenging Bible study in the company of people who love to go deep into the Word AND enjoy the experience as they do so (the group has a really good time every Sunday), under the leadership of a pastor who's both an informed Bible student and a gifted and authentically funny discussion starter, this Sunday group is for you.
[NOTE: Currently, the Bible study is the only Sunday group we offer. We continue to work for and pray that God will lead us into circumstances that will allow/require us to launch additional groups, including for children and teens.]
-
Coffee & conversation - 10:00 a.m.
In the half-hour between the end of our Bible study session and the beginning of Sunday worship, we gather informally around tables to enjoy the company and the refreshments provided by volunteers. It's a great way to get to know people and put yourself in a good spirit to worship.
-
Sunday worship - 10:30 A.M.
Our worship is casual and friendly, but also intentional and passionate. As worshipers, we're fragile, wounded people who need grace, mercy, compassion, and forgiveness as much as anyone, and who come together in a search for and in praise of the God we know provides. In worship we sing, we pray, we hear the Word proclaimed, and most importantly, we are part of the Body of Christ.
- You don't have to know what you believe in order to benefit from our worship
- You don't have to be a Bible scholar to connect with or learn from Bill Coley's sermons
- You don't have to be a model citizen to fit in with the people of our church
- You only have to be yourself - the imperfect, much-loved person God made you to be. If you're willing to be yourself, we think you'll feel welcome and included at New Beginnings. We hope you'll join us for a Sunday morning.
NOTE: And if you can't join us in person (or want to visit without making a trip) you can join us by phone, listening live to the Sunday service via our church's conference call service. Connection to that service is a simple three step process, the details of which you can find HERE. Our pastor, Bill Coley, comes onto the call near 10:30 a.m. to welcome callers, receive any prayer concerns, and lead the group in pre-worship prayer. Some notes about the Sunday morning call-in option: 1) The audio quality of the spoken portions of the worship is quite good; 2) You do NOT have to identify yourself (or even speak) in any way; 3) Once worship begins, we mute everyone's line except Bill Coley's, so you don't have to worry about background noise from either your own setting or anyone else's.ANOTHER NOTE: And if you want a sense of what sermons sound like when presented by Bill Coley, visit our sermons page at which you can listen to sermons from the last nearly five years. Find that page HERE.
