A Quad Cities organization called "DOBETTER NOW" is collecting basic school supplies, which it will place in what it hopes will be at least 1,000 backpacks that it will give away during a "Giveaway Fair & Picnic" on Sunday, August 1, from 2:00-7:00 p.m. at Stephens Park in Moline (7th St and 15th Ave), with the objective of reaching out to our low-income communities.

You can contribute this great cause by donating, volunteering, and/or donating.

• To donate, purchase items from the following list, then take your donation to the Farmers Insurance location at 1600 30th Ave in Moline.
