another helmets of hope fundraiser
Because we're a really small church, our signature ministry, Helmets of Hope, receives no money from the congregational budget and is underwritten almost exclusively by donations and fundraisers. Two fundraisers are scheduled for May of this year: Our second-ever quarter auction (click HERE for more info), and our second-ever May Day Mariachi event, which is the subject of this page. may day mariachi #2 CANCELLED TO OUR VIRUS OUTBREAK
We regret to report that we've cancelled what would have been our second-ever May Day Mariachi event, scheduled for May 1. The concert presented by the two mariachi bands of Glenview Middle School in East Moline was expected to bring out lots of people to support the students in their performances, as we raised money to help us put household supplies in the hands of veterans.
We hope to reschedule the concert, perhaps sometime in the fall. Stay tuned!
